MEET THE ARTIST…

Laura Zapata is a Colombian artist from Medellín, known for her vibrant art. Her passion began in third grade winning a drawing contest. After moving to Miami at 14, she pursued art while working various jobs. Inspired by a fellow artist, Laura dedicated herself to her craft, creating colorful portraits and transforming everyday objects into art. Her work has gained local and international recognition, including a live painting at Art Basel week in 2022.

In 2023, Laura Zapata showcased her art in Spain at Monzón & Aragon and participated in the VeraneArte exhibition in Miami, collaborating with an international artist collective. A career highlight was her collaboration with Nike during Art Basel 2023, where she painted shoes and joined a sneaker wall. Her participation at the Spectrum Miami Art Fair further established her as a rising star, with her vibrant work attracting art enthusiasts and collectors. Laura is recognized for her distinctive style and continues to innovate in her artistic journey.
